No jtakeman , you're correct. I punched in the UPC code & Dry Creek came up also. So those Blackstones may not be half bad.
Just stacked up a ton of Blackstone in my basement , $269 a ton, pre-bought in April. I'll let ya know once I get a few hundred pounds through.
I picked up 1 ton of the Fireside by the bag this summer at HD and that was the end of thoses . Now they have Stove Chove which is Energex out of PA.
Blackstone and Still river are the same pellet, Made in Eastford CT by the pallet manufacturer. There is no relationship to Dry Creek, according to the marketing firm that reps them. Still river is to be sold to multiple location customers (Aubuchon Hardware, Benny's). and Blackstone to pellet dealers.
Only have a hundred pounds through so far. Cleaner burning , less fines and a bit more BTU value than Dry Creek. I'm committed to running the full ton, so I'll update as the winter progresses, but I am starting to use my wood furnace so my pellet consumption will not increase greatly as it gets colder. It's going to take a while !
