very interesting and entertaining 7 points..
    I agree with them all..
btw: I also have all my stash in the basement for winter and now that I have a part time job 34 hrs/week [yikes] delivering auto parts to supplement my SS, I'm already thinking about next winter and
being able to afford buying all Okie firs[It's a low ash Thang]:dex: now that I can afford them so oil be dammed.. long as I have enough Oil for my domestic Hot water I'm comfortable burning pellets.

Stopped at a Lowes in MA to see what they have. About 150 tons, maybe. GS, GT, Timber Heats, Genevas, and my very first sighting of Inferno Golds for the year. First time I've ever seen Genevas at Lowes. They are making quite the showing at the boxes around here this year. Maine's Choice at all the HD stores and Genevas at both Lowes and TSC. Interesting.

The Maine Choice are wrapped in a covering that says Geneva Wood Products. Did you see individual bags marked Geneva?

I was in Southern Maine today and stopped by a HD. Over 500 tons of Stove Chow, Maine Choice, Nations Choice, and 1 other I can't recall. I drove by another on the way home and they had at least that much if not more in their yard.

Never. I've been thinking about this. Is it because of shortages in some areas the last couple of years drove prices up and they're now selling at a profit and want to take advantage of it? My local HD, to their credit, did everything they could to have product two years ago. I do think they went dry for a while last year. But in both of those years they didn't have anywhere near the amount on hand at the beginning of the year that they do this year.

I am just going on the fact that the outside wrap had the giant GWF logo on it. Did not see any individual bags.

I would guess that they are Maine Choice. The product labeled Geneva usually sells for more. I haven't tried any of it, though.

I agree completely with Sub. Our HD did a quality job keeping pellets in stock. They also were very good and polite. They would load up my van for me.
