Those pellets at the first one (white wrap) are the Penningtons made with oak (see below). The ones at the second store (black wrap) are the Nature's Heat variety. I grabbed a couple of the "oak" bags to try this winter. When the clerk cashed me out, they came up at $5.64/bag (like the website says). I showed her the sign indicating they are $5.22/bag and she adjusted it accordingly. What is up with the price variations? And $270/ton for pellets at Walmart? Yikes! How much oak you think it really in these? Bet it's just a little tiny bit, lol.
You guys got it good. MWP is $50/ton more here, no matter where you buy it. Boxes or pellets stores, it's the same story. Must be that cost of trucking to transport them all the way from Maine to here!
I always heard about the pennington oaks but never seen them. If they show up in my wal mart I might have to grab a few
Northboro, conveniently located a couple miles down the road from the mulch store with the LaCretes. Road trip.
I got about 25 bags of the Oak Pennington's from a woman in Middletown about 4 winters ago....she wasn't going to use her stove anymore. I burned them, and liked them a lot!
Don't know but I made a hole in one bag to check them out. Fairly light in color, regular lengths about 1/2 to 3/4 inch, and smell great. Will test burn these early in the season so if they are good, can go back for more.
Thats right thats what I was thinking bio plus. That came up when I scanned my few natures heat regular bags
