    Mama Bear is scared to make kindling with a maul. It was the perfect excuse to improvention. Found a chunk of scrap steel at her uncles place and light bulbs went on. Traced an ax handle on a scrap of oak left from our kitchen remodel. A couple bolts and some grinding on the scrap steel.     Then in the father in laws garage in a random auction sale $1.00 box I see'd the perfect froe mallet...a bowling pin.
