I don't have long term cap shrinkage results - has lasted at least a few weeks when I first tried freezer. I suspect ethanol may be a component of the swell issue. I use ethanol free, so may work well. When I sell a saw, I beat into buyer to use ethanol free.

He got on me about CAD on another topic a couple months ago. His comments really have tones of being condescending......... If one saw works for you so be it, I'm happy for you! Why bring it up? Why beat up the CAD folks? It seems to me that the CAD folks are in good company here, I understand and like it.

Should you have a second saw? I really think you should, if you choose not to, that's fine too.
But, I don't know how many times I would have been dead in the water if I did not have 2, pinched bar, pull cord broke, chain flew off got Ruined, saw wouldn't run right etc.
I just don't like getting set up and get in the middle of something and then I'm screwed, and can't finish it up.
Doesn't have to be a $500 saw, or whatever just something to get the day's work finished up.
    Just my 2 cents

Just do what makes you happy. I buy saws because I like them. I don't even burn wood.

He also takes pictures of trucks loaded down with wood.

He doesn't even own a truck.

    He drives a Prius.
