First weekend back and my neighbor pops over to tell me that there are a couple of Stihl chainsaws at a garage sale right down the road. Hopped in the truck and went to look. Older gentleman selling a lot of tools and equipment before he moves to Maine. I picked up two 028 (non-supers), a hedge trimmer, a new propane camp stove, a Makita sawzall (older but works great), and a small hydraulic jack - all for $100. The saws are well used and haven't run in years. No idea if they are runners or not. Hoping to at least make one runner out of the two and part out the other one - should cover the cost of everything I bought. Not a bad first week back! Cheers!
Nice score! Those 028s are great saws and I bet they still have a lot of life left in them... built like tanks.
