Got it in. Started getting picky with the splits. Culled some stuff I'd normally stack. Near 1/3 cord didn't fit. Mostly good uglies, if there is such a thing Pallets look like there're almost ready for a new stack Debated if I should take the moose rack down, decided it should stay. Stacked around it. Here's the full 17/18 section, 8 cord +/- of birch :

A thing of beauty! The shed and the mountains of course. It's nice when you're so far ahead that you can start culling splits from the stacks
Since you didn't burn as much last year are you going to cut less than your normal quota or add on to the wood shed?
We'll see how the Oct cutting goes. Plan is to have fun getting another 8-9 cord. Good thing is , the birch in the shed will last a long time. Might warp into the 4 or 5 year plan if we have a few more mild winters. "Never have ""too much"" firewood"
I love when you post pictures of your wood piles, shed & view! Of course, we are all living our "wood burning dreams", but your dream is particularly scenic. Good work and enjoy the warmth this winter.
Yea I feel a little guilty culling some of the splits. Might stack it up & place an ad on CL for "seasoned" camp firewood. or just add it to the fire-pit stacks Last Fall pic:
