Good morning Douglas Middleton . I see you released your operating results. Question, "which was partially offset by a decrease in sales from Okanagan Pellet Company Ltd" Whats going on??
Mill is down for a bit for upgrades...but to clarify, I work for Viridis Merchants Inc...OPC is the mill in Kelowna BC...both owed by Viridis Energy...hope that helps
If I understand correctly, there are a greater share of your other mills Okie Platinums to make up for the lack of production from your mill undergoing upgrades. Is that fair to say?
The pellet sales and distribution business is completely unaffected by any external factors, didn't you know? For example: Warmer than usual winter? Doesn't matter. Other home heating fuels much less expensive? Doesn't matter. People who bought pellet stoves are going to burn them, no matter what the fuel cost, even if it means throwing away good money after bad. That's what I heard, anyway. Must be a great business to be in. Sales are always up over 100% no matter what! It's like a party that never ends!
This is one question I'd like to see some info on. The yards near me are steadily growing. TSC still has the sets that I expected to be gone in a heartbeat and are now using the main parking lot for storage!! Really curious on what others are seeing?
Same here too. Massive quantities getting stockpiled. Many more than I have ever seen in prior years, and they aren't moving. Too bad they didn't do this the past two years. It may bite them this year, and they could end up with a hefty demand vs supply imbalance before long...
I think you all know what I'm seeing.....the pics I posted tell all. I've also seen pellets at places that haven't had them since before last winter.
