And I see your beer pic and raise you a few.

The dog is finally worn out. Frisbee is too.

Patio cushions are apparently for spoiled dogs only.

Got the plums canned and put away. Got carried away and cleaned out and sorted my cold room. I now know how many cases of empty jars I have and what kinds I have. We are making a trip to the recycling depot tomorrow. It can be hard to get rid of paint that you have had for 20 years or that last bit of cleaner that has dried in the bottom of the can. I think everyone knows what I mean.

Going thru exactly this with my parents who are in the middle of a whole house remodel. Tossing things they have had for longer than I've been alive is a daily process and struggle. No bs....30 cans of paint I hauled to the haz mat facility this week alone.

No need to store unused items. ;)

Today I found 50 lbs of legos. Need any? Haha.

The home we moved into is the same way. Except there have been a few different owners since 1952, and stuff from all of them left here. Too many outbuildings:hair: A shame that some useful stuff has gone to the dump, but we do not have the man power to sort it. Besides, we accumulated enough of our own junk the last couple decades....

Spent a couple hours kayaking on the local river yesterday. Beautiful day, pretty sure I did all the paddling because I woke up sore and my wife thinks I'm a wuss.

Got 3 trees lined up for the weekend if the weather and my timeline pans out. Should allow me to get the aeration/ overseeding and lawn overhaul started in the next couple weeks if the heat dies down.

Woke up to clear skies and a breeze. It will probably turn into a very windy day but it is just gorgeous out there this morning. three days left of holidays. I think we are taking the chainsaw in for a tune-up today after we take the truck load to recycling. We will need a lot of rain before we can go wood gathering but it doesn't hurt to be prepared and ready to go.

It is a miserable day here. Torrential downpours, lightning close by, and very humid here too. My rain gear is soaked inside and out. You could kayak down some streets and ditches right now. I'm watching to see if the cell towers will get struck by lightning.

Kind of hard to like this post. Sounds like some of the summers we have had in the past.
