    Here he is.

I'll post more pics as I can.
Meet Linro's William Ryan Aurelius, but we call him Will.

He's a pretty happy little guy. Goes potty outside pretty much as soon as he gets to the grass, eats like, well, a Labrador should, and is very inquisitive and smart.

I didn't get great sleep the previous 2 nights, but last night I got some good sleep. He's fitting right in with our family. Even big brother Badger is letting him crawl on him and only gets a little cranky when the biting machine gets going too much. I'll take him swimming this week yet.

He's played in his pool, and the shallow lake edge, but no real swimming yet.

Keep snapping those pics. In 4 months, he won't look like the same dog. Good on the house training. One of mine still has occasional late night accidents. Just doesn't get what going out late at night is for.

So..... No accident last night, no fever this morning. I still cannot locate the broad test urine sticks, but I did find the keto-diasticks. Negative on both glucose and ketones  She's only 8 y /o, and spayed quite early. I am going to wait and see, of course while observing carefully :)

Great news! :thumbs:Diabetes highly unlikely. Probably just something self-limited. Keep and eye on the dog. I think it will turn out fine in the end. Thankfully, we have a GREAT local vet who is highly responsive and VERY reasonably priced. However, I know not everyone has access to this type of resource, so I totally support doing whatever you can by yourself until you get in over your head. Vet bills can add up VERY fast.:faint:

Yeah, I've got at least 80 Pics of the little guy already and some videos too. They do grow up fast. My home DSL line is acting up, so I'll try to post up from work on WiFi so I don't use data on my phone.

    I need to weigh him.

My buddy was nice enough to loan me his large dog crate. After a year + we still crate the dogs at night and during the day if we aren't home. Well, my friend got another Great Dane puppy that will quickly need a bigger crate. So I've got a month to give these dopes "the keys" to the house. They have passed the night test 2 nights so far. It's the day test that will be challenging. Hope to try them for an hour, then a little longer, etc.

On the plus side, it forces my family to pick up after themselves, not to leave any tempting toys or shoes lying around.

mike bayerl , I thought you'd not appreciate this either, when I picked him up he had a tell tale flat spot on his neck fur where a collar had been. I assumed he just got loose, I drove for a living so a canine passenger during the day happened frequently over the years, kept them safe with me all day, avoided kennel cough at the pound, and the owners always were thrilled when they got home from work and knew the pets were safe. This one however, did not accidently get loose, his collar was removed on purpose

Anybody looking for a new buddy? Hermie here just came in from a puppy mill. We were able to clean and groom him up. We have combs, scisssors and clippers but are far from professional. At least we got his mats out and trimmed up. He's at the vet now for his neuter and initial vetting. Assuming all goes well, he will be available soon for adoption through Angels Among Us Sanctuary, Quentin, PA. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Angels-Among-Us-Animal-Sanctuary/297721442560?sk=info&tab=page_info

He looks stressed out. Given time and love, good chance he will make someone a fine friend. The puppy mills make me feel ill. Concentration camps for pets.
