We got down to insanely cold temperatures last year, think it was -37* F. Hope this year is not as bad.

"The Old Farmer's Almanac predicts it will be super cold with a slew of snow for much of the country, even in places that don't usually see too much of it, like the Pacific Northwest. The snowiest periods in the Pacific Northwest will be in mid-December, early to mid-January and mid- to late February, the almanac predicts."

I hope they are correct, that is totally opposite of what our local weather guessers are calling for

Hopefully the west coast can get some relief from the drought!

yep, we need that alright! Rain in the fall and snow in the winter to reestablish the mountain snowpac would be ideal

If you ever watch previous Guberment forecasts, they are always warm biased, and have been VERY wrong last few years.

Here was proof last year. How did that Equal Chance BS work out. People froze !

I'd like a new weather site, whats your favorite place for accurate info? Right now I use weatherunderground, there is someone out here with a station closer to my home than in town.

Just going to bed, but if you pay ( Subscribe) to a site, they usually have to be good, or they go out of business. Ill plug www.weatherbell.com

Ive followed Joe Bastari for Over a decade. Check out the page, and watch the FREE Saturday summaries. They are east coast biased since he lives here, and that's the meat of his clients. But he archives EVERYTHING, ( you can look up posts from years ago) and you can see his strengths and weaknesses.

I did not post my post, to create a debate, on who is right or wrong, it was just something I heard that was relevant to the thread :)

We've already had 2 bad winters in a row, Can't we catch a break on this one?

Ahh well. Better fill up the reserves and batten down the hatches JIC!!

There are certain people at Accuweather who are good. Just like any place. Joe B came from Accuweather, and then started his own company.
