You guys are killing me with your shop space. If I had more space, I'd make all sorts of crazy big stuff.

    That's looking good Luke.

Took my old deck boards out to the landfill. I guess I should have put it up for sale on Craigslist instead. "Premium firewood for sale" :)

Started bucking, splitting and stacking my apple, locust and mulberry stash.

Then I got the handrail and a couple steps replaced on the deck.

Made a hidden support block that allows me to take off the handrail easily.

Put on the top handrail and built it so I can install 2x2 balusters and a lower rail when I want to.

Taking a break from the heat we have going on now. Whew!

I wouldn't even consider less than 50 amps of 240v and even that's a bit light for my liking. You will want that as a minimum if backfeeding the house from the garage is your plan. If going with the 50amp feed, I would run a separate 120v feed for lights so if you trip a breaker you aren't in the dark.

Since I rearranged things my usable space has doubled. Liking it much better. The outfeed table is bliss for working sheet goods. I have a couple paying jobs coming up that I need it for.

I use roller bases to push the saws out of the way to open up some space. The shop is in constant motion.

Thanks. My main push to get the handrail done was so when my 80 year old mother visits she can get up and down the steps easily.

Oh cripes she would box my ears if she knew I was telling people her age. Don't tell her I spilled the beans :)

Bunch of neighbors had yard sales today. I picked up an anvil, stihl fs74 brush cutter, an older Jackson drop spreader, an older Jackson lawn roller, a new 1.5 gal sprayer, some craftsman wrenches and a few no name ones, 2 carpenters hatchets, a rubber truck bed mat and some other random little stuff. Only made my wallet $100 lighter. The older couple down the roads moving and they just wanted to get rid of some stuff. Just happened I was the first one along. He wanted less than what I gave him for the stuff, so he and I both made out. He's a good guy and knows I'll put it to good use and not just try to resell it.

I talked with a girlfriend a month or so ago( on the phone!). I told her I only post the good stuff............and that someone I knew called it "fakebook". It was very helpful to her.
