LaCretes in the house !!! Well, the garage. 3.6 Ton.

Will oil low, I now have choices all lined up this winter

My pellet house now stores everything inside a warehouse he got last December. Not that I have had issues, but its easier on him especially during snow months when he would have to dig them out for deliveries. And it does make you feel better knowing that they were not out in the rain. :)

INFERNO update. While talking with Dave, Great Works Biofuel owner and delivery person, we were discussing big box pricing right now. I brought up Inferno at Lowes and how bad they were when he informed me that they are now re bagged Corinth. He knows how bad they use to be as he carried them for a very short period, but now if prices drop and they are in fact Corinth, I will be all over them.

Anyone able to confirm this? Dave generally is spot on with his information.

yup ! $1120 delivered. 45 bucks for delivery and putting them exactly where I want them in the garage is well worth it in my book. 299/ton is a stretch but that is also why I have 2 tons less on hand that normal. If big box drops pricing on decent stuff, I will add. If not, I will be using more oil anyway.

I ALMOST tried a ton of Okie Douglas Fir, but changed my order yesterday-just cant go for the 360.00/ton pricing even if they are that good. LaCretes have always done me right.

I hear ya on that ,I'm going to grab me 5 or so bags from Joe at Bucks pellets to see for myself what the hype is all about ,Steve said when he burned them there's really not a lot of ash . We already know that our Hormones can eat them chitty pellets too ,just have to clean more often .

I was told by a pellet authority they were Curran's. But was always stumped that they(Inferno golds) were a softwood or softwood blend. One would figure they would be their(Curran's) bread and butter hardwood blends. Corinth would seem logical.

I haven't burned Corinth in ions. And it was before they ventured into the softwoods. The hardwood blend was meh at best!! Someone up north told me the Softies were pretty decent. But I never did see any down yander!! I also haven't been able to find the Inferno's except at bigY and they are asking stupid money for em!!

I was getting friendly with the gal that was in marketing of the Corinth's. She seemed nice and was willing to ship down some stuff for me to try. But all heck broke loose at work and I lost touch with her. So never followed through and BT doesn't carry them any more either. I'll see if I can find some more info and get back in touch with her!!

Dave said the same thing. A year and a half ago when I was talking to hime about the crazy high price of these pellets, he agreed and didnt think they were worth it, but he kept getting return orders for them. He tried them last year and it was all he burned. Same this year. He said on his XXV he could go a full month during the coldest times and not have the ash pan full. Any other pellet it was full in a week and a half to 2 weeks. Heat output was higher as well to the point he could not keep his hand in fron of the output air.

Still, 360/ton is just too much.

I should have asked Dave to bring me 4-5 bags to try. I thought about it, but it may be the same as a drug dealer giving a kid free samples.....................

Yeah, that was how I got hooked on LaCrete. Dave threw on 2 bags 3 years ago when he delivered either Spruce Pointe or North American that had some damaged bags on the pallet. He gave me 3 bags to compensate, and they were LaCrete. But for me, these have been biggest bang for buck in the super premium line up. There are others 5-10 bucks cheaper and some 5-10 bucks more. The LaCrete seem to be the most consistent in price and performance for me.
