A couple four hours in the shop and as many beers and I'm good as new. Ran out of lumber though.

Got a good buzz going on drinking captain and cokes, sitting by a campfire, watching the perseid meteors, getting ready to pick up our new family member tomorrow.

Caffeine almost all in me. Took one extra strength Tylenol to take the edge off a few sore muscles. These things get sore sometimes don't ya know?

Going car shopping today. I just printed out a great coupon from Edmunds.com, hopefully the dealer will honor it.
I'm not a big fan of car dealers so we'll see. :picard:

My wife's car is 17 years old so it may be time for a new one.

It is a two cup morning.

The grape cluster rot has ended and the bunches are turning nicely. I see grape jelly in a week or so. The birds and squirrels are fond of them too.

Yep, we pick him up at 1pm today.

I'm trying to wake up, and let the wife sleep in. I'm sitting by the remnants of the fire from last night, getting ready to crack open a mtn dew.

    Need caffeine now....

Which one did you end up picking/getting? They were the golden labs. Right?

Okay. Brought out some more Ash logs this morning. But we got some rain last night and things are muddy. So I have the customer order filled for 2000 bd.ft. I will actually give him about 2150-2200 just to be sure he gets enough in case he loses some with a few that are slightly twisted. So I will stop with the logging now until it dries up in the trails. My neighbor will be over at noon with his deck over trailer so I can load them up. He will make two trips to the Amish saw mill this afternoon.

Sometime this weekend, probably early morning, I will go into the trails by foot with the Echo CS 680 saw with a sharp blade on it and cut some of the stumps down lower. I have a few new trails that I made while cutting Pine logs in the winter and I left the stumps to high. Once I get them leveled/finished off my wife and kids will like them for riding the her horses on, when she gets the horses that is. Her and our youngest daughter, all of 8 years old, started taking horse riding lessons nearby. They are learning all the safety, and slowly riding around the inside arena this lady has. They really like her style of training. Laid back, easy going, don't have to buy a bunch of gear, western style, and they are just looking to learn horse safety and trail riding. They will do a little bit at a time over the next year and a half. It will be that long before we are ready to get our own. If we are lucky enough to be ready then. LOL

Done. Second load of logs off to the mill. I ended up giving him between 2200-2300 bd.ft. because of the couple twisted ones. He will be happy. Time to get cleaned up and relax with wife and kids! Yeah!

You must show up 10 minutes early for paperwork. Then a 1/2 in the waiting room. Then another 1/2 hour in the exam office........

That would be a fantastic business, if men were not soooooo particular about their tools....
