Yep, it really does give the sound guy more control, which is a good thing. Especially so for the folks in the seats. I'm blessed to have a controller that I can control all the instruments individually in my in-ears, which makes it more enjoyable for me, too!
I've never been a huge fan of e-drums as a player, but I do think they have their place. Still not the same, though.

I am not sure I could play the plastic set.... It really is different trying to block out the rubber thump and concentrate on the sound in the monitor. At times I wish we had personal monitors. The past few years have not been too bad, but there were always wars over the monitors; "... Turn me up in the monitor" then someone else would say ".... could I have a little more of me in the monitor?" and so on. The overall sound was coming from the monitors and not the main speakers and it was too loud for the congregation. Sorry... I am loving and seeing many songs in our repertoire on this thread. Keep them up!
Thanks Stinny just type the name in to youtube search. i look for the (official) vidoes or (lyric) videos but, lots of people post "picture" videos with lyrics that are very nice
Oh, I'm on YouTube with studio headphones all the time. Love being able to get quality video and audio with just about any music ya like. The CCM world has some really talented songwriters, singers, players... this last tune Flawless is a good example.
