I got a feeling it may not get as cold, But it might get an early kick off. We haven't been as warm as usual and it already has a September feel to the air.

Translation!! My old bones are telling me its getting cold!

If its warm along the South American coast, and cool-cold by Alaska, warm for us. BUT, if the heat is biased central pacific, and warm close to Alaska, it pumps the ridge, and we get COLD, and even storms. Sources I follow already think the latter, so another cold winter.

Warmer than average. Average is cold, Last 2 years were cold. Before that we were cold. So we'll be somewhere in the range of cold??

    I'm confused!!

A WARM fall looks likely,. Warm September is looking very very likely. Plenty of nasty winters were warm in fall, maybe a quick burst of false winter, and then look out January till march. Look at last year, fall was nice, bit of winter in November with Thanksgiving snow, January was so so, But late January, and FROZEN FEBRUARY into April. Could repeat, but may be not as extreme as last year. Winters should warm up a bunch following years as the oceans cycle.

    Just read this:
"Crude oil just cracked $42 a barrel for the first time in over 6 years.

On Thursday after, West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell nearly 3% to below $42 a barrel in New York.

As prices continue to get hammered on excess supply, the oil market got even more bad news on that front this week.

On Tuesday, the 12-member oil cartel OPEC reported that its output rose to a three-year high in July. Iran was one of the biggest producers, and the country is expected to boost its output for exports when economic sanctions are lifted.

In the US, the latest data from the Energy Information Administration released Wednesday showed that crude inventories fell by 1.68 million barrels last week, a smaller-than-expected decline. Stockpiles remain at the highest levels for this time of year in at least 80 years."

My opinion: Unless there is some unforseen event in the Middle East, dino heating prices continue to fall.

These 401k's are risky business if you are nearing retirement. Hopefully folks are properly invested if they are.

Hmm, oil broke below $40 briefly this afternoon, and settled $40.27. CHEAPEST in 7 years.

Don't let Doug M. see that! His interpretation will be that it will cause people to buy MORE pellets from him.
