Ahhh, my stacks are all full. 24 face cord. Ahhh, such a beautiful sight, such a good feeling..... but....

But, I could fit a few more stacks in. Should I try to get some more? Maybe dryer stuff or a species that will dry faster than oak so I am SURE I have wood for next season? Hmmmm.

When its available, and when I am available, I cut! Health issues, or unexpected hard winters, or equipment issues. I say keep cutting!

    Absotutely keep cutting.
Can't go wrong with Oak, as long as you're a couple years ahead already.
Go get whatever you can put the saw into.

It's like money in the bank. You can never have to much. There's always the option of keeping the best for your self & selling little.

Yeah Bill, cut some dead standing whatever you can find and get it split and stacked.

Using that high btu stuff will cook you out when it's not that cold out. Plus, don't you have a very well insulated house?

I like to have a variety of wood to burn, it keeps things interesting.

I'm going to sound like a broken record but there's no such thing as enough or to much. Can you just extend the stacks? I am pondering selling some myself and then just order a log load or two to fill what you sell. If you can keep up on dry wood. The prices around here would allow me to buy a loggers cord and sell a face cord to cover that cost.

Always, always, always get more!!! Bill, all one has to do is think about the climate where you live and then say, get out and get more wood! Not only is it cold in your area for a long time but with the deep snows, it is difficult getting wood in the winter months. I say go out and cut some more. Definitely some birch will help as it is relatively quick drying. Just make sure you split and stack it not too long after cutting as it will rot otherwise. Even the small birch should be split as it rots from inside out.

I'll eat ice cream on a boat, I'll eat ice cream on float, I'll eat ice cream in a car, I'll eat ice cream on a star, any place for ice cream is not too far.

It is unanimous. You must keep cutting. You are officially a hoarder now, and must act accordingly. Cut like a demon possessed and apologize to no one.

The only reason to stop cutting is if it's time for a beer  or if your saw is out of gas.

I love being far ahead because I can be picky on what I keep, but by all means, I STILL CUT AND HOARD!! I've already given some away, actually quite a bit last year. It felt good to help others too....

I see lots of space there Bill......keep cutting and hoarding brother!!
