my 3 year stacks, or the wood maze as its been called

the estimate is 17 -19 cords there is another shed a a couple more rows of stacks but was limited to that amount of pictures

thanks there are targets between most rows at various distances.

 

That's a cool way to do it, I'm sure it keeps it more interesting when you've got a private course to go through, rather than one target you just have to walk back and forth to.

 

Stacks look great UF... lotta work right there. Targets are cool. What distance do you like to shoot at most?

 

20-30 yards , there are a couple longer shots but you need to shoot from the neighbors yard, with the recurve i start close and work bacwkards

 

I stopped by a local bow shop years ago and a young guy was out back shooting. I went out and watched for a bit. I'd never seen his bow type. An over draw set-up. I couldn't believe how fast the arrow was getting to the target vs what I was used to. Couldn't help but notice this kid was really sticking some tight groups. Found out later he was some sorta champeeen fella. I went home that day hopin' some of that was gonna rub off on me... it didn't...

 

I see the orange cones in there too. I picked up a couple of those and use them when grabbing neighborhood wood. I noticed once I started doing it I got a lot less dirty looks from passerbys. Seems like people are willing to wait and drive around if it looks like you are a tree service that knows what is doing, and is giving drivers a heads up. When I used to just pull up and start working it was like people had a different attitude. Like "whats that knucklehead freebie wood grabber blocking my road for?"

thanks, built entirely out of a dumpster ( except nails and shingles) all the house demos and new construction around here provide a steady supply of meterials.

 

all those logs i got last week will be used for that.
