Hello, my first post here. I'm Bill in the UP. I have a BK Sirocco. I rented out my house last winter so no wood burning last year. I plan to move back in this fall. I have 10 face cords of very dry oak waiting for me. It was ready to burn last year at around 20% meter tested. It has had a whole extra year to dry. The winter before was a very cold winter and I used 7 face cord so I should be set for this year. I have 10 more cord of oak drying that I hope will be ready for next year.
Welcome to FHC Bill. It looks to me like you are in good shape for this year. Are you on a 2 year or a 3 year plan?
Hello Bill, from another new member it's been fun here so far, lots of great folks. Nice picturelooks good from here.
Hello Bill in the UP, and welcome! Looks like you've got a nice set up and I hope everything works out for you in the upcoming season
From one newb to another "Hello"! Sounds like you have plenty of great BTU's dryin' out. 10 cord of oak is awesome!
Hey look....another Yooper! Welcome aboard Bill, and glad you joined. If that's all the wood you burned, do you have another heat source as well, or is your house just that well insulated? I've burned about 5 cords while also using a DV heater the last 2 winters, and I'm in Northern LP. Anyway, a Sirocco, eh? Love to see a pic or so of that.......I've had my eye on one. Do you have the 20 or 30?
Bill, welcome to the best family on the planet....the FHC! Looks and sounds as you are in pretty good shape. You've found a new hangout, I'll guarantee that! You'll fit in nicely around here!
Welcome to the forum, Bill you'll fit right in here And Great first post... with pics of the stacks. Now...about those other pics stove... saw... splitter... I guess by now you already know we like pics...
Welcome to the forum Bill the Yooper. If this is who I think it is, my apologies. I've thought about writing to you for the last couple of months but guess I still need to get one of those round tuits because I just have not gotten around to it. Good to hear you have the oak but that probably won't be enough so hopefully you can get something else to tide you over. Still, most are predicting a milder winter (about time) this coming winter so who knows how much we'll need. Also looks like I still need to come up to show you how to make those ends so you have free standing wood stacks.
Sorry, but "WELCOME" to you too Ronaldo! I sure got a warm welcome, and there's a great bunch around here! Didn't want to miss out out on the op to say hey.
Welcome Bill! You came to the right place; these guys are super enthusiastic and will keep you motivated to get on a 3 year plan (perhaps more) so you are in wood burning heaven.
