All of this has been cut since late winter-notice how all the oak on the far left still has color-the beech, maple and ash is all cracking and turning color---all the wood uncovered up the field is red and white oak along with pignut hickory-thats for '16-'17 as is the double-row oak in first bay-A friend has me a ton of oak to cut this weekend-he's gonna grapple the logs with a backhoe at waist height while I cut it-good friend clearing a house site and road...been friends since second grade...
Beautiful looking wood, shed and stacks! Looks like you have quite a bit more outside your shed with more oak coming! How much more are you planning to cut this year? Are your stacks two deep or three in your shed?
very impressed with that. very neat stacks, Noticed even the roadside has been weed wacked. Only thing missing is a pic with a dog in it!
Here Here! Continuous fine work... Ash! Seriously, Ashwatcher, you put up some gooder pics, not even getting tired of yer woodshed, but I wonder if you're man enough to video the grrrrapple event
I'm not on the laptop, so bear with me Bottom caption: Your hair looks different through binoculars And no.... That is not a selfie....
Started turning gray when I was about 18. I'm older than that now, and much more grey. That young woman reminds me of "Rose" on 2.5 men.
Oak, hickory, beech, oh my! Sounds like you have shoulder season covered - what you gonna burn when it really gets cold? Awesome pics!
The saying is "I dont care what turns gray, just worried about what turns loose" I too have my share of gray-in the woodshed is where I prefer it most...someone mention dogs? The "queen boss " dog boxer Savvy, the accidental dog Sophie (half boxer-half huskey) and the abandoned neighborhood dog "Speck"
Fanatical1 = 2 deep, 8' long, 6' high x 2 per bay=1 cord, plus uglies thrown in between all stacks-expanded metal floor-gooder airflow, the shed contains 4.5 cord as is, the uncovered up the bottom is 1.5 cord-I burn on average 3.5 per yr so the 3 yr plan is in sight-lots of oak coming for '16-'17-'18 and I still have cherry, locust and elm cut off the stump waiting to buck, S/S in the fall-I'm done for now in this heat and snake season...but I still have neighbors bringing me storm damage and the friend clearing the house site
I will sir, just for you-thinking I'll have my friend, the backhoe operator video with my phone---novel idea for sure, just hope he doesn't swing the boom the wrong way?
That's so funny papadave -this is my every day coffee cup-It's Charlies from 2.5 men---Yeah, we're similar-notice he always drinks from this mug-Allens is mostly blue-Charlie's is this one----
