Me too!! But then I want a meatloaf sandwich the next day on middle part of a french bread, no crispy ends.
Do you make your own bread, or get it from a bakery? I can't wait to get into my new kitchen and get started on some things that I want.
Once you get a handle on home made bread, it may become a real thing with you. It is one of those skills that just doesn't happen. You learn how your oven performs, like the placement of your bread in the over. You lean about the differences in grains and which do what. You also learn how yeast works and how best to have it do what you want. I hope things do allow you to have time to do more of the things you like to do best. Heck, I'm retired and have lots of time. but now the energy and mobility issues slow me down.
I wonder if you get the pan hot first then throw it on - GF makes cornbread like this in our mini cast iron pan, smoking hot in the oven splash of oil, pour cornbread mix and back in the oven - it flips over when done
Nothing special WW just regular Martha White mix or Jiffy mix. We found the pan in the way back of our cabinets(one off those lost corners) after moving in here. enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan heat it until the oven is ready swirl oil to coat sides and pour the mix in. Next time she makes some I'll snap a picture
