Got the t post replaced and split a little more and stacked what I had done. Just too hot and humid to keep at it, plus mowing called. Dang that elm is a beast!

Got done with mowing for myself and took the mower out to my mothers so I can mow tomorrow. Trimmed a tree for her and dropped off the branches at the tree dump. Found a little locust to go into my "good wood" pile. :)

I keep grabbing little scores at a time and the pile keep growing! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Ooops, didn't know he was on the line. First fish on the boat. We wanted to throw him back but it was too late. Lil one got some excitement out of it though :)

Hot day at work jumped in the pool and then took a look at the sub panel that feeds the pump - when I started it yesterday a whole bunch of fireballs flew around inside the panel, hoping it was just a snake:D
The spring blades burned completely off the back of the breaker and the panel stabs are pretty much gone, I was going to temporarily install a 40A 2-pole I had laying around but the screw clamps won't bite on 12ga. Guess I'll just stop by and get a new sub panel and everything I need tomorrow, as I noticed the single pole breaker feeding the 12ga lights/recp circuit around the pool is a 30A:headbang: - I probably noticed that 9years ago but just said screwah, the pump motor has 12ga and was on a 30A two pole as well - yet another I probably just said it's been like that for 25 years so be it

My wife and kids have stacked almost everything I have split. My 11 y.o. son has really worked hard to help me. He is happy he has made enough money to buy his next remote control vehicle.

I believe we have split and stacked about 10-11 full cord off and on for a while now. Got behind this year though. Looks like I have about 2 cord left in rounds that I will finish splitting tomorrow. In between rain drops. Then I start my next project. Trimming the nice trees up out further behind the house, and taking out brush and undesirable trees, the beginning of my wife's horse pasture/corral. I will save as many trees as possible and make her a beautiful place for her horses. It's going to be a long process, but will be worth it in the end.

I was in Syracuse since Friday for a wedding, nothing but sun with temps in the high 80's. :)

Did it rain pretty good? The chit might hit the fan tomorrow, the weather might get bad.

Are you still looking into replacing the pellet stove at camp with a wood stove?

Yes. I would like to sell the pellet stove. I have decided we will use the pellet stove (or wood stove) during the fall and spring, but when it gets really cold we will turn off the water and drain the water lines. This way I will not have to be going down there every day or every other day during the winter.

Rained hard here a few times. Including some rain last night. There was quite a thunder and lightening show here that first night.

this was yesterday. hope to finish framing today basically 14 wide 12 deep 3 season porch front 2 feet completely gone.. found several attempts to patch rot and this will be another as not time and money to do it right. meaning rip it off pour basement and build it right.
    20150803_081931.jpg
basically cut out rot. they built it for 14 wide with 8 footers on 1 side and 6 footers on other left to right. then connecting beam in middle pretty good until they never put any support under connecting beam.:headbang::headbang::loco:

so built front beam and put in concrete blocks 3 feet down as footings, I know frost goes deeper than that here but it's better than what it was and still don't know if it's coming off in 3 years for wife's new kitchen..

Looks good CBV. Our entire 13 years spent at the old farm was a never ending list of patch jobs. If it wasn't one thing, it was three... ;)

All done for now. We were able to beat the rain. Had one little sprinkle for about 15 min., felt good.
