We thought everyone might like to see pictures of today's delivery of black locust firewood. It is our third and last delivery, a total of 21 face cords, for the 2016-2017 burning season. It is very reassuring to have firewood put up.

Did I hear somebody say something about black locust ????......that's a pretty sight, about the closest thing to a nice load of coal.

We have never burned black locust. The black locust we purchased this year must season so we intend to burn it during the 2016-2017 season. We've always burned a mixture of wood common to central New York which is oak, maple and cherry. Black locust is common, too, it is just that our firewood supplier previously never had access to it.
