Helped a friend clean up, and shoulder season has a few nuggets. Anything to stall the drain on the stacks.
Ya, I got 4 ash logs from my neighbor, some of it was half punky, I split that stuff first and stacked it in my detached garage in a rack. It was good and dry when it went in there. You get free wood, you burn free wood, what's not to like about that
I know exactly what you are saying and the stacks always look so good piled up full, it's just hard to start using out of them......some people just wouldn't understand that, but around here we're understood...lol
