Looks like pine? The growth rings are too big IMHO to be oak.

Up before the sun today. Not sure why...just was.

I spent a couple hours fishing a coax cable from the garage through the attic and down to the basement for the modem. The east end of the house got no signal so I located it in the center of the house. Strong signal everywhere now.

Poked around in the garden for a bit and got the tomatoes sprayed. Need to get back out there later.

Just had a beefsteak sandwich for breakfast. ..or maybe lunch...or both. It was super good.

Going to the sprint races tonight for some drinking and friendly wagering. Pick the car you like on the hot laps. Winner gets $1 from everyone. Looser picks first on the next race.

Getting ready for another day on the lake. Tomorrow it's the company picnic at the Polo grounds and watching a polo game.

Elm means misery in another language. Partly noodled too. 10 more rounds to go.

65 with an east wind off the ocean. I gave up after splitting 3 rounds. These will wait until the fall at this point.

It took my ambition away real quick.

Then it's off to work for a few hours. We have initial TA audits on Monday.... I think TA stands for Tons of Paper works....

Lol. Almost true. Just after I took the pic the superintendent walked over to talk to me.

Here my stash. Stuck in my garage until I know what I'm doing with it.

If they were ever used for serious weight (like cribbing) they would most likely be oak. But as mentioned the growth rings do look big for oak.

Finally got this thing painted. It was hard finding the time with all the other projects going on at the same time.
Gonna try and build a door tomorrow and get a coat of primer on it.

WildWildWest just strung 300 yds on two new poles. He has not bought fishing gear in a decade or so, thilled the prices are down! He ended up with mid grade reels from.......Canada :)
