Bad news: got home from work at 7:30 pm last night and back on the road at 4;00 am.

Good news: I won't to be able to go to a wedding on the in-law side.

    I count this day as a win ! :)

    Have a great weekend everyone.

The George Washington. Spent the night in downtown historic Winchester, Va.

After we ate we walked around a street that is closed off to traffic and has all kinds of shops, restaraunts, historic buildings, etc. They had a band outside, type of blue grass, maybe? Very cool night we had. Whole family enjoyed it.

There was also a very cool little shop called A.F.O. (Amazing Flying Objects) A great little toy shop with all kind of flying toys, etc.

We are halfway to our destination of Myrtle Beach. We get to see my oldest daughter later today.:)

They did a 30 million dollar restoration to the building a while back and tried to preserve all historic Architecture. Interesting History of the building.

Just part of the Grand Ballroom in the Hotel. They had a wedding in here last night. Wish I had taken a picture before. I had a chance to see the room all dudded up before the wedding. Older world elegance.

They HAVE to go swimming at 7am!:picard::)

Might as well let them get some exercise before the 7 hour drive down to Myrtle. I found the half way point and it was right about Winchester,Va. It broke up the drive nicely.

That helps make sure of relaxation. I also explained to the wife I am going to visit and relax. We are not going to be running here and there to see this and do that. Staying on the beach at the condo and doing some walking and swimming. That's about it. (There may be some eating and drinking involved as well.:D)

Got to job site. Poking around and found dozens of 3x4x8 ft long boards used for equipment delivery.

Asked the site superintendent about them. "Take as many as you want"

    :)

Now to figure out what to do with them.

They are rough sawn so to use them for stacking my firewood, cut up for firewood or other ideas?

I'd bet some of those aren't treated and are burnable. I used to get those (red oak) and they burned great!

If they are oak, or some other hardwood, make firewood out of them.

They'd make perfect cribbed ends, even if you are blasted when stacking.:D
