I'm not so sure that is a good idea. My house had zero insulation so I had blown in insulation installed. I asked the owner of the company about the basement walls and he said it's not good to do the whole wall, only to the frost line or something like that. Below the frost line the temp is constant 50 or so..

My basement even having a corner that is walkout stays at 55ish all winter with no heat. It is nice to go down and run on the treadmill or ride the bike down there. Dont think i loose much heat becAuse heat rises and the basement is cooler. Half is finished but dont know if it is insulated.

I'd say do what you feel most comfortable with.

My dad, a lifetime builder by trade, has always said the same thing when I brought it up. Some say that they have saved a ton of pellets per year by insulating concrete walls.

All set for winter here also...
5 tons give or take....early buys of Lacrete, Lignetics, Energex Golden hardwoods, some blazers from last year..won some bags of Okie firs from BucksPellets
Too late to care or debate about Oil prices this year..
noticed HD pellets are up again... 269.00 ton.. so now they want 40.00 more for the Ashy stuff like Stove chows etc..At 229.00 ton 2 yrs ago it was ok but not now...only paid 6.00 more for Lignetics I think..
