Trail Camera

Is anyone using a trail camera on your property just for fun? I am interested in getting one. I walked out my door this morning (43 degrees, brr!), and there was a moose standing there looking at me. (I got a couple of photos after he ran down the drive, and will post them later.)

All of a sudden, I want a trail cam. I think we are getting more night visitors that I once thought. Any recommendations?

I run a few for critters and security purposes.

My wild game innovations cams are better on batteries and trigger speed than my stealth cam. They are fairly cheap too. Moultrie makes a good cam for the price also. I tend to buy the cheaper ones. 600$ plus for a trail cam is Reeeeediculous imo.

 

Here are the fellows (among others - raccoons, coyotes, deer, etc.) that I am trying to photograph.

Have 3 of them up right now at the cottage as there seems to be some people thinking they can widdle some wood and use our boats with their homemade boatplugs. 2 are empty but the one wildgame is pointing at the one dummy cam.

The 12 year old wildgame is the only one that still works!!

I'm with 78 on the cams and gonna pick up a few more this week.

I think the trail camera idea is a great idea. Animals in their natural habitat are always fascinating to watch. Let us know what you get and post some good shots when some come up.

 

Will do. It looks like it might be little while before I get one though, other spending priorities. Maybe for Christmas, if not before
