Sorry to hear about the relapse! Try to get that pain in check and I hope you will be feeling better each day.
Man I am so sorry to hear that. In will be praying for you that they can get this figured out. Wish I lived within a few hours of you so I could be of more use.
You've motivated & taught many of us. All those good vibes you've sent out are headed back toward you 2 fold. Glad it's starting to get better & headed in a positive direction. Relax : You'll be CSS'ing soon or many of the gang here will be there to help get your wood squared away thru your recovery period . God bless !
You hang in there Mr. Savage-you'll be ripping out the sawdust sooner than not---will be keeping you in good thought and prayers
Thanks to all. Saw the doctor again today and he likes what he sees and says to continue what I've been doing even if it is slow going. He has some interesting theories on what probably happened last week and they sound reasonable. Says the liklyhood of that happening again is slim. That is fantastic news as it was the absolute worst night of my life. Bandage is also finally off and now we can see for sure they carved me up pretty good especially compared with the first time but it is understandable when considering what had to be done. The pain is getting less almost daily now and I can finally walk again, albeit with help of crutches. I also drove the car for the first time today as it was easier getting in and out for me. But I did switch and let my wife drive part way home.
Looks like you have turned the corner again. Lets hope that is all behind you. Pain, it is wonder sometimes why that doesn't kill ya as much as the problem itself. Hope the rest of your recovery is uneventful. Larry
He want you to cut Split & stack 5 cords of firewood Just do it slow, ???? Must know you're one of the tough as nails type Good you are mobile again Keep the positive attitude & you'll be ready to cut this winter Glad you are on the downhill side of recovering !!!
Did the Doc question the effects of vertical splitting on your hip? Undo stress and akward hip angles Get well soon fella.......... No cutting while on painkillers either!
Dennis, I hope the deer, birds and other wildlife are putting on a nice show for you while you recover. Very best wishes for a full recovery well before winter.
He said I could do it okay so long as I did the splitting vertically....and very, very slow. Figure on finishing last year's wood around January 15, 2016
Said I was lucky to know the correct way of splitting wood otherwise the recovery period would double. Hard to cut without the painkillers but we know the limits.
