    I always try to have "things" happen on Friday, after all Dr offices are closed for the weekend too wildwest ... :whistle: And, you've got plenty of company when it comes to puttin' off going to the dentist...:emb: Hope the tooth stays pain free anyway until you can get to the dentist. Good luck...

    Been there WW. I know exactly what you're going through.
    Only thing is, I never, NEVER put it off for a year with a temporary in place!
    Now then, since the gold crown has already been paid for, it has also probably been made. But with more tooth gone, it'll most likely have to be re-fit?? Sounds like there may be added charges...Crap, I shouldn't even have responded.

    I also have cracked or "calved" off part of my teeth. The most recent was this spring while eating some spaghetti! (leftover at that).
    I haven't had dental insurance for many years now, so it's all out of pocket for me. At least you have help with the payment if you still have your dental plan.
    My dentist is local and very accommodating, so I'm lucky there. But, like you, no weekends either.

    No way would it fit now, 1/3 of the base of the tooth is missing ... I will have to ask them what options I have with the gold crown that is, YES, already made.

    Yes, thanks for reminding me. I do still have dental plan in place, and last year it was new (under 1 year from moving to a new state). This year it should actually cover more.

    I did it!!

    He *thinks* the old crown will fit :thumbs:

    The sharp edge on the inside of the tooth that is missing is what I thought was tooth that had cracked off. Turns out they had drilled that off last time and infact it WAS the temp crown that cracked off.
