Been off the forum for a few days. Had a bit of a relapse or something here. Had to go back into hospital. I'll just say that over the years I've had pain and thought when I injured my back it had to be the worst ever. Can't say that now. Never had such pain but seems to be getting a bit more under control now. Problem is it set me back to where I am about like I was right after surgery. Can't walk much yet either. See doctor again Tuesday; maybe some answers. In the meantime, I won't be cutting, splitting or stacking any wood for a while; perhaps a long while.
That stinks. But Thanks for the update whether it's good or bad. Hopefully they get this all figured out. Until then you'll be in our prayers, my Friend... Take it easy.
Dennis glad to hear your home, sorry to hear of the complications. Praying that you start feeling better as you no doubt have been thru HE$$. Let's hope the Doctor can get some answers for you. Meanwhile, we have all missed you here on the Hoard. Wish I was closer to give you a hand. Think positive and keep us informed of your progress.
Chvymn99, said it so well. Glad your 3 years ahead so you don't have to worry about that. you and your wife will be in our prayers...
I hope you can find some pain relief Dennis... nothing else matters as far as "things to do". Good luck.
It's way too hot for cutting wood anyways. And the mosquitoes are TERRIBLE right now. By time the whether cools down and the bugs die off, hopefully you will be hitting your stride.
Get some well-needed and deserved rest and recovery, buddy.....wish I was closer I'd give you a hand with your hoarding! Plenty of time later for that stuff. I wanna see you get better......
I was wondering where you were, I was thinking of putting up a thread last night, Where Is Dennis That really sucks you had a setback, I am hoping everything improves for you day by day. If you need any help with anything let me know
Hopefully the company that put you where you are now is being fully responsible for your current situation. Nobody deserves to have to deal with a faulty medical device.
Prayers will be offered buddy, hope the ornery one can hold down the fort until you get back in the saddle.
Take the time you need to get better! If you need anything don't hesitate to ask. I'm too far to just "run on over" but I can get there pretty easily on the weekends if you need a hand around the house with anything. I picked up a couple IBC totes, if you still want the tanks out of them still I can run them over one of these weekends.
ugh, Nothing holds back recovery like pain does. The meds for pain give you all sorts of other issues. Hope you don't over do it. Give yourself time to heal, I know your MD says no to PT, but my experience it that it helps. It tells you what is good activity and what is not, and how to strengthen what you have to your best benefit. It is not unusual to hit a bump or two in recovery. Hope for you and your wife that this is the end of that stuff.
