I miss the days when I was forced to drink whatever beer was cheap You ever get one of the distorted bottles? - kind of oblong instead of round, they fit your hand so much better...I think someone at the manufacturing department would figure a way to make it happen on purpose.
Never had a distorted bottle. Miller Lite had some goofy corkscrew gimmicky bottles for a while, not sure if they still do.
Well for us older guys on the westside of Lake Michigan, it was a case of Lienenkugels (Lienes) for about $12 or a case and Point for about the same. (Horkn, as UW - Stevens Point alumni you probably put down a few Point beers). Then, Jacob Lienenkugel sold to Miller Brewery and they took it fashionable. So, now I pay $12 for a 12 pack.
Leinenkugals fireside nut brown is good once in a while ( for a fancy beer). But after one or two, i'm ready for a good ole Labatt's Blue.
If you like good ole Blue over there in the U.S. side, you'd probably really like the Blue bottled here in Canada. Labatt's had a separate brewery for export. The Canadian version is a lot better.
Yeah, I know you guys have some good beer up there. I remember a beer called "black ice" that I enjoyed when I was up there. Prolly twenty years ago now. I think it was made by molson. Never seen it down here. Would definately like to try one of the Labatt's that you speak of.
