I lit up the burn pile and bucked most of the pines I dropped Friday. I've got a nice big pile of rounds at the splitting area. I'm hoping to motivate my son to work on them a little every day during summer break. I did the math and figured out that if I put up my 16 inch logs with 1 square foot face area each day, I will have more wood than I need to heat each year. It doesn't sound like much when I break it down day by day.

I worked on cleaning the garage up some. Spent a couple hours on that before I got to assemble the 390xp and start on the 660.

Tried to help out a neighbor since the guy that bales his hay backed out last minute. Got 30 bales through the baler and a yoke on the pto let loose! Having all the knuckles rebuilt now. Not a profitable day.

Got about 1/3 cord of pine split and stacked with my son today after work. Not bad for hand splitting in 90+ degrees heat and ridiculous humidity.

    FarmHand78,
Some days are like that!!! You try to do something good and it comes around and bites you in the behind?
Boy did we get the rain last night. 4" this morning on my rain gauge. Alot of the guys had hay laying down and due to the humidity they were delayed in baling it. It sure got wet last night around here.

Yeah... I didn't have time to do it, but it's my nature to help people. Even when it cost me in the long run.

We just got drenched and high winds last night.... going to be a lot of oats and wheat laying flat today.

    FarmHand78,
Yep, that monsoon like rain we got was heading south not east like it normally does. So, no doubt you got it. But, there is so nice Canuck air behind it. Its beautiful today.
Just having lunch and it is very nice.
You're a good man for helping out your neighbor. Someday you'll be rewarded. It just sucks when things go wrong when you are trying to help someone.

I used boat hull cleaner on my nautique tonight. Muriatic acid is what it really is. IMG_20150710_203653678.jpg

Better. But not perfect. I really need to wet sand the gelcoat, and get new reproduction shield stickers.

I love the wide open lake up north, but the water is so stained from tannen that just a long weekend in the lake gives it a serious brown hue under the water line, and a nasty scum line on the hull.

I'll be on the lake all day tomorrow.

Our lakes are red after an active weekend. So you get a red hue from the mud!!

Seriously, any time you are in my neck of the woods, lmk. I'm happy to take others out to enjoy the classic nautique.

For next 4th of July, I'll put a big American flag on a pole off the stern. This boat gets all the looks anyway, and what's more American than a ski nautique with a big old ford v8 in it? It even sounds like 'merica.

Yes I do, but that term has been around a while before survivor used it last season.
