I would really like to get a wood fired hot tub. I wonder if using our standards of dry wood would make it hotter in the tub? Anyone ever build one or aqcuire a cheap one? http://hiconsumption.com/2013/06/wooden-dutchtub-by-weltevree/
im sure they are. most wood fire hot tubs i see are like 3k or so. I feel like i can DIY it for well under 700
I wonder how long it would take to heat the water up? Another issue would be during freezing temps you have to drain it when not in use.
Yeah they did a pretty good job with the logs around the tub but the rest looks a little hillbilly. You could hide the tubes in some kind of pipe and insulate it. Also paint up a barrel to make it look neater.
I was thinking the same thing. Draining the water everytime in the winter could be a problem, so could filling it.
Reminds me of my buddy, he was was in a big garden tub with his girlfriend. The lights were down low and they had candles around them and a few drinks. Suddenly he saw a bright light....her hair caught fire from one of the candles!
