There isn't any thing left to tell you that it isn't anything but a ground level apartment. Lots of regular windows and the door is full view glass. The house is in the ground three feet on three sides with one end being higher than the ground level. I'm getting really anxious to get this done. Had three workers here todsy. Just bleeding money! No workers for the next two days, but back at it Thursday. I have to go order the countertops.

You might be finding yourself enjoying cooking more now that you have a gas range, and you not worried about snow removal/grounds upkeep etc. :):):)

The electrician comes again tomorrow. I'm never sure what they are up to. My son is the contractor for its job. I gave him free reign and don't attempt to micromanage. He asks me my opinion and wants, then goes at it. The more he does, the more I'm impressed. We are anxious for the move, and even more anxious to have the grandkids here. Can you believe they enjoy my wife's school sessions with them. They come running in and say "quiz time"!

Looking good Larry. You're on the home stretch, but remember... the last 5% seems to take 50% of the total time (fussy time consuming stuff) so hold on to those reigns just a bit longer. It's the hardest part. Your extra patience will be worth it. Looks as tho your son really knows his stuff...:D

I stopped by my dealer's shop today to check on a couple of things and while I was there I asked if they had any of the new Harman's with the touch screen controls. I was an Accentra 43 I think. Anyway, after listening to him explain the touch screen and show me all the bells and whistles, I came to 2 conclusions.
    1. I drink way too much beer to ever own one of them.
    2. My wife yaps at me enough I don't need my stove telling me when to fill it, when to clean it, turn out the light (in the hopper), etc.

I'll stick with pots, thank you.

Strawberry day, we have the strawberry jam done, three batches of it. Picked them late this morning by 3:30 they were in the jars cooling and I was taking a nap. First canning run of the summer is out of the way.

Had to deal with some stripped beetles this evening that were planning on munching the leaves of the squash, gourds, and cucumbers. Always something.

Did you get a tomato plant in the ground Larry? Mine are looking pretty good. I've already hit them and the eggplants with some bT. It worked the last few years keeping the horn worms in check so I'm using it again.

If the rain comes close to the right times there should be a bumper crop of blackberries this summer.
