I'm needing to get some organization to the yard again. So today's fun was getting some oak taken care of. I'll be stacking it tomorrow....
Holy noodles! Once stacked, there's no worries of that wood leaning over and falling. I agree with foragefarmer, I couldn't cut that well on a table saw! Nice work!
Here's the stacking. It rained over night so I can stack in there final resting spot, for a bit. But they will be easy to maneuver around now.
Nope, no worries about those stacks leaning! I thought you were going to build them 10' tall with all those square splits! Nice work though. What did you do with the noodles? I made oodles of them myself this weekend, and my girlfriend gathered them up and used them to fill a low spot on my trails.
My bad! I should've said "Oodles of Noodles!" I'm sure it was fun to get that work in! Thse noodles will definately help keep the weeds down, and make a sneaky deer trail if you're into that sort of thing! Nice job to you and the girlfriend!
I'll probably put some down as mulch around my front tree and the rest into compost... Nope that's about as much as my little JD can lift on its forks. Oak is still a bit wet from last falls cutting... It'll go nicely on my 4' tall cube... I'm not as talented as Pyroholic in his Skyscraper stacks...
You made yer girlfriend spread that with a wheelbarrow, Shawn Curry??!! Either shame on you or "Way to go!" I'm on the fence about it!
Well I let her use a rake too... She wanted to help! Those noodles were paper thin and light as a feather. Don't worry - I did most of the heavy lifting all by myself. Did you see my thread? I made some square splits too, but mine were a little bigger.
