went and cut a load of wood last night after work. There were hippies all over the place. The crying was hilarious... Never been called so many names in such a short amount of time.

I just replied "I hugged it first". That really got em going...

Rainbow family of living light, aka people who don't seem to have to go to work. They sure did want a load of wood for free though. Lazy SOBs

Been wondering if they'd came yet Joe. I think you have them pegged well.

This reads like an inside joke for those of us "not in the know". Could you please provide a little more background. Is this some on-going protest?

    Thanks.

Doh! You Michigan folks get to deal with them this year, huh? I feel for you. The rainbow slackers have had their junkshow in SW Montana a couple times over the last 10 years or so. I've never had any dealings with those folks but it sounds like many thousands of people show up and have a week-long slackfest. I haven't heard of too much in the way of trouble but I'd be keeping an eye on my stuff for the duration of their stay.

They visited the high Unitas couple year back... Two policemen in our little town...
    Mostly shoplifting and pan handling...
    Good luck for the duration.
Still trying to figure out how they live...Wondering if they have big dollars and this is just a show?

I don't think I would get along very well with the hippies. Just a hunch.

My bet is these people are classic tree huggers, not hippies like I was in my own youth. Rather than have reasonable expectations, they expect to be supported by those of us who have worked for what we have and see no reason to allow people to do what they must to manage their wood lots. Face it, there is nothing "wiold and natural" about any wood lot. Wood is a crop and the way it is managed as a crop reflects more on understanding its culture than on tree hugger values. I would be happy to let those folks hug all of the ash on my place right before I remove them as dead and dying trees.

hey, I wouldn't mind meeting a few hippy chicks when I was in the woods, granted their grooming isn't the best but mine ain't either, let it all hang out. :dex:

I'll keep it in my pants thank you very much... From what I've seen, I wouldn't even with yours...

These people are getting arrested in town left and right... LMAO at a guy today telling the cop who told him to sit down on the ground "No". LOL... Two cops then said "SIT DOWN NOW, OR WE'LL SET YOU DOWN". I was hoping for some hickory shampoo action personally.

Had some hippie drum thumpers that camped for a couple weeks, every year, across the valley from our farm. They were reeeelly into their "space". A buddy of mine who lived next to the land where they stayed said he was walking in the woods one day and came upon a guy standing naked perfectly still looking into the woods. He walked by him and he never even moved... :picard:... smokin' some good chit right there... :smoke::D
