Glad your man cave is dry, no one likes wet feet. So you are going to have the week home alone with the dog. Trust you won't go hungry or wear dirty socks! Rest of the week looks fair, but not warm for this time of year.

Same here. I learned to be self sufficient in the Navy and it's been with me ever since.

The front of my property is in a flood plain... I have just about every precaution to prevent flooding, 1hp sump pump in basement, 3hp foundation pump and a backup generator. So far so good...Never listen to your wife when she says that's a cute little creek running through the property! :D

Military never taught me how to cook! I can cook well enough to get along, (meat and veggies) but I am no real cook. My wife is much better at it. My best meal that I like to cook is breakfast. I can put together a really good omelets, and I can scramble eggs that are light and fluffy. One of the reasons I hate to eat breakfast out. I haven't done much at all in the way of cooking for the last couple years. However, in our new kitchen I am installing a gas range. I really like cooking over gas. We have a glass top stove in this kitchen and I HATE it.

More progress. The trim, crown, countertops and sink isn't in, but it sure seems like progress to me. The refrigerator sticks out because I declined to get the new countertops depth ones. We are always running short of refrigerator space. They also started sealing the grout on the floor.

Nice, Larry. Very nice. You'd never know that used to be the basement.
