Eating there would eat through my paycheck pretty fast. $32.00 for a lobster? $15.00 for steamers? I'm glad my son has connections. Had lobsters and steamers right out of the ocean for Father's Day. Lobster was high this year at $4.60/lb. He bought a peck of clams for $30.00. My office had to be evacuated Monday afternoon after all that passed through me.:emb:

Same here. We're supposed to get 3-5" of rain, and 40-50 mph winds today. We were pretty soggy already, and this is gonna finish off most of my garden. The peas and potatoes are definitely dead after this, and I don't have high hopes for broccoli, cabbage, tomatoes, and sweet corn. Glad I put all that time and effort into the garden...had this same problem 2-3 years ago. Ugh.

Raining here now ,but not the heavy stuff yet :bug: I'm sooo glad we put the interior french drain and sump pump in last year ,or the Man Cave would be taking on water :hair: and I'm Happy to report that it works had a 2" + rain about a week ago totally dry, drain and pump doing their jobs. $$ well spent.

Got off my dizzy but and went to lunch at Cracker Barrel. Then on to lowes for their half price BOGO sale on paint. Today only. Got 10 gallons and also my vet discount so about $120. Hard to beat that.

Almost 4 inches of rain so far, and still coming down. Fortunately the wind hasn't been as bad as forecasted so far, and the sump pump is keeping up! Good day for cleaning out my desk and other inside projects. Hard to get motivated with this weather.

yes, they are a good place to go. Lots of good tasty food. The nearest one to us is 50 miles. First time this year we have gone to Portland just for fun. I had a crispy chicken with bacon and Colby cheese sandwich on a sourdough bun. Served with coleslaw and chucky fries. Stopped at Mardens and bought some cheap stuff. Then off to Lowes for their paint sale. Exhausted after that so back home we came. I had wanted to go to Portland Head Light, but my Nap time was beckoning me.

5.5 inches total rainfall. Holy soggy batman. For some strange reason, we're not totally flooded. Granted, there's water everywhere, but I expected worse with that much rain. I have a 4000 gph sump pump, and it ran most of the night, but the basement is DRY. :dex:
