Jeep's been running a little rough lately, so I got some new plugs. This Jeep really runs well on NGKs, so that's what I usually use. Couldn't find any locally last time, so I put in Autolite AP985. This is what I found today.......... If you look closely, you may notice the center electrode is missing. The gap on 2 others had closed up some as well. WTH? Anybody ever seen this? Anyway, Jeeps running as smooth as silk now.
I have never seen that. Hate to say this, but I wonder if that eectrode worked its way out through the exhaust, or is still rattling around in the cylinder? Greg
Who have you P...ed off? Seems like is wasn't for no luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all. Lets hope this one is an easy fix. If you can't get the right plugs locally, order them on line. Express delivery and you are back in service provided there isn't some other disaster waiting for you.
Oh yeah Larry, already done this afternoon. Runnin' nice and smooth right now. Our son and one of our granddaughters and a bunch of other people he's known for years are up for the weekend at a local State Park. We drove up there to visit and it ran great. I ordered the plugs from Rockauto, although I could have ordered them locally. I got 'em quicker online. Weird. It's been said that bad luck comes in 3s,....... I'm on number 4 or maybe it's five or 6. I guess it depends how far back I go.
I have no idea how long it's been gone. Nothin' I can do about it. Looked like it was still firing .....some.
Man, I wish I could help you out. I'll keep you in my prayers that thing start getting better for you. You have been slammed really hard lately. Glad you were able to get the Jeep running and go have a good visit with you family and friends.
No biggie Larry. Lots of folks in worse shape and with worse problems than me and mine. I'm a happy guy and there's always a silver lining if you look hard enough.
That's weird I have never seen that before, I have been running champions for a couple of years and have no problems runs good
