Eck...haven't been over 90 more than a couple of times. I am not a huge fan of summer, but we are only 90 days till fall and a break in temps.
We're headed for a record 25 days straight with 90+ weather. It's ridiculous, just saps all of your motivation.
Early bird gets the wood GF thought I was going to cut some trees by the pool so she could have more sun - 1000-1400 is enough for me
Had gotten up to 3 years worth, but we had our first baby in April so I haven't had much time recently. Hopefully I can hit it hard again in the fall/winter.
I have a couple small ash trees to drop tomorrow and it's supposed to be 90. I'll get them early, so it shouldn't be too bad. I have a half cord or so to split soon too. I like cutting and splitting when the temps are in the 60s, but couldn't this year. I'll never figure out why some of you guys get out there and cut wood when it's 20 or less. I'm house bound when it's below 30.
We always cut in the summer. Dry heat if I had humidity. Never would get anything done.. Course I would not have as many nose bleeds...
When it's 20 out, its perfect for cutting and hauling. It was 83 today, and I was in the lake all day.
That's why my wife moved from Chico, and went to Humboldt. I love Redding, but it's downright oppressive heat wise in summer.
87ºF - feels like 96ºF at 6 PM supposed to be a bit warmer and stickier tomorrow. I threw my back out Saturday soI've only been able to do little things.
