for this area, this also includes Gasifier area. I'm hoping the Brook is down enough to handle it. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A * FLOOD WARNING FOR SMALL STREAMS IN... ST. No, this is coming from the northwest, it's still coming down pretty steady. Later tomorrow into Tuesday we have a chance of severe weather. We're in northern NYS. http://radar.weather.gov/ridge/Conus/full_loop.php
Yea, those storms look to be exploding. Is the brook far enough if it overflows over its banks? How about near the brook...... anything to worry about?
It should be down far enough, the only thing that could get flooded by the Brook would be a garden that a lady has near it on her property.
Well Seasoned , the Brook was better than I thought it would be this morning so no flooding of the neighbor's garden.
I better make coffee earlier tomorrow morning, U 2 Gasifier . http://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...=862225c2c4c26863241427854459b50b&oe=55F058CE
Came up 81 this a.m. then took 37 from Watertown over to Prescott. All of the streams there were good, looked normal.
The river across the road jumped up over a foot after the heavy rains yesterday, @ 5:00 a.m. this morning it reached 8.59 feet. The height of the river at this end is up over most of the retaining walls.
It looks like they got a chit load of rain in Saranac Lake NY. http://adirondackdailyenterprise.co...963/Water-rises-in-Saranac-Lake.html?nav=5047
We got some rain, but its a miracle we didnt get the severe storms. Some areas- not so lucky! A couple tornadoes to our south and even in new england, tornado warnings today. A lot of straight line winds, plenty of cleaning up.
More rain in the forecast. Eastern Soaking Rainfall Forecast The incoming southward dip in the jet stream and an associated frontal system will tap plentiful moisture across the East from Friday through the weekend. As a result, showers and thunderstorms will be numerous during this time frame. Friday night through Saturday night looks especially wet in the Northeast, with locally heavy rainfall and some flooding not out of the question. Showers will linger through Sunday in portions of the Northeast. Severe thunderstorms are possible Saturday from Virginia and West Virginia to the Carolinas and Gulf Coast. The surface low-pressure system will also produce gusty winds in parts of the region, particularly near coastal areas where winds will blow onshore for a time as the low moves through. We should also note that prior to this pattern change, showers and storms will impact the Mid-Atlantic due to a stalled west-to-east aligned front.
Its raining here now, and expected to rain through sunday evening. Sat/Sun- heavy rain, local news expects some flooding. Not good firewood drying weather.......
Gasifier Well Seasoned or the east coast, incoming! http://radar.weather.gov/ridge/Conus/full_loop.php
Yup, 3+ INCHES Smokinpiney we are expecting rain, and some storms, but your area on south, local weather saying severe storms with the possibility of an isolated tornado on saturday....
Stay dry my friend. Our forcast looks brutal, wind, rain, thunder and lightning for the next 24 hrs+. Of course you know that given your location in your avatar. I'm just 10-20 miles east of you. I was supposed to be having 2 oaks taken down by the local arborist tomorrow. I'm thinking... not. Looking forward to some quality time in my woodshop
The closest city to us is Allentown. I think you may be west of us........ stay dry. Trips to the puppies potty area should be interesting here.
