    Today is the first nice day when I am home in a long while so I finally got around to building the new saw station. Our new trailer doesn't have room for a tongue box so I have to think outside the box so to speak. The whole thing can be unclamped and slid straight out of the back tailgate freeing up the bed. Very nice!

    I am like drivin. I am totally unorganized! I just put them in the back of the truck and then on top or amongst the wood on the return. I dont come back with am empty bed even if I pull a trailer!

    That was some engineering, thought and attention to detail. Took some time to cut all those pieces out!

    Pfft ya I'm OCD about tools I hate loosing them! I wouldn't slap ya but I might sneak in and clean your garage SUPRISE!

    No pallets! That's made out of scrap 2*4 lumber I had laying around.

    We usually fill 2 trailers in a day of cutting and I hate emptying my bed out so I don't.... A large dual axle landscape trailer and my 5*10 trailer. I'd say over 8000 to 9000lbs of wood in a good day of cutting between our two trailers. My new trailer is 14 ft * 49.5" by 36" deep so now it will be more weight. Plenty to keep me busy. I like to keep saws locked up too so if we go to lunch or something I can keep an eye on my truck which is peace of mind as I have over $1200 in saws with me when out cutting. I've got a lot more saws than what's In the truck too... Saw hoarder here...

    Well Yea if your filling a large tandem axle 16footer as well as a 10 or 14 footer thats a good bit.

    That's pretty sweet. I did something like that for my Olympic weight plates but never thought of doing it to keep my saws from rolling around in the back of the Tahoe.

    It'll keep me busy for a while... The 14 ft inspired me to do this. My old method for the smaller trailer was nice but won't work because the tongue is to small on the new trailer for the old saw box. :picard:But I like this better now I can leave the ropes, axes, mauls and wedges in the truck as it never really leaves home except for firewood. :dex: Much less work!

    Unless someone rips off your truck. Since you can see through the window. Least the toolbox you couldnt see through.

    I also have a 16ft tandem but there no sides so I reserve it for longer logs when I can get a loader to load me

    I can get about 3/4 of a cord in my trailer, but no matter how I loaded it tends to sway.
    I never put any wood in the back of my Cherokee, it's filled with tools and saws.
    I just picked up a friction anti-sway control, think it will help. Not yet tested
