Yeah I was holding up ok until I could hear her start to cry on the phone. Talked to her for a while and sent her some messages. She is over 30 but she will always be my little girl.

schlot, deepest condolences on your loss...

Wildwest, not real worried, just keep an eye out. I am more concerned about dumb bounty hunters after 100k, cause as a percentage there more of them

if still single wouldn't be worried at all but wife and daughter so I will keep an eye out.

as football coach told me kid most of these kids are accidents wait in for a place to happen.. you seem to be the place they all happen AT

Oh schlot, so very sorry to hear. It's hard to lose a pet. They really are a part of us.
It will take some time, but try to remember the good times you had with Patches
    We are here for you.

Schlot, condolences from us on losing your family pet. It is never easy.

I added a small marker stone to our pet burial area today as our kids oranda goldfish passed this morning. I know it is only a fish, but it was very friendly and quite a character. We had it for about 3 years and raised it from a small size. It was a lot of work, but it was amazing to watch and interact with us. It is not easy on the young ones. I am sure we will have another one to fill the void soon enough.

Going to throw some pig and taters on the grill this evening. Then pick some more cherries after it cools down some...hot and sticky here today. Half day of work tomorrow and I'm off for the next 9 days.

Thanks everyone. I checked my Facebook since I knew my daughter would post about losing Patches. She had some great pics of him on there that made me smile.

    Again, thanks all.

Sorry to hear your sad news. Pets to a lot of us are family members and no doubt to yours too. I've lost a few in past years and know exactly what your feeling. Sorry for your loss

I poured some footings for a small shed yesterday. I'm in need of a place for seasonal equipment and to get some of my garage space back again. So I'm putting up a 6x8 shed in the backyard. I'll have my son run some power out there for a light and receptacle and I'm thinking of painting the floor with a heavy textured paint to give it some longevity. Pics to follow
