Gotta' be someone here besides me who remembers diaper pails and cloth diapers.
"Sensors" used to be mom and dad's noses, or a grumpy baby with a wet or crappy diaper.

Dunk in toilet and into the bleach bucket, icky, I had no interest in cloth when my lil one came along.... I have seen some very clever diaper pails for disposables too, no stink until you change the bag.

I specifically remember Dad poking me with a diaper "safety" pin once or twice! I don't remember much else about them, other than the smell of the bathroom when my siblings were in cloth diapers.

Yeah, when my oldest was little, we tried doing the cloth diaper thing to save money, but that stopped. Lotsa work and the house stunk.

We had 2 sons. Cloth diapers for both. It did not create problems nor did it cost the dollars it cost today to keep kids in diapers.

Nothing nicer than fresh clean diapers straight off the clothes line. It was a bit of work but worth it to have cloth diapers. My babies were sensitive to something in the disposables. Cloth diapers today are better shaped and have better "rubber pant" outsides.

Your right Dennis @Ba,, ckwoods Savage , definitely the sign of the times, at least with the generation that cell phone, and now smart phones, technology came to be. This stuff didn't exist when a lot of us grew up and I could probably do without everything but the cell phone if I wanted to. I would need an Internet connection at home but I don't really need it in the field so much. This generation has become so dependent that it's actually sad to see. Good post

REAALLY funny guys! I have two memories from around 2 1/2, one is climbing and then falling out of the crib when my parents left with with Grandma when my sister was being born, and the other is being poked with a pin, which I assume was around the same age. At least I hope it was...

Cloth diapers ( 3 kids worth) - now some 25 years later most have been recycled from original purpose to shop rags and then the circular file when could no longer be used for anything else. cell phone sits in truck all day turned off, used when at home -no land line- ( cheaper than land line as kids are spread around the globe) and it is only a phone- texting blocked, no camera, no gps, no nothing. 250 minutes a month - almost never use that much.

My 6 year old asked me the other day when he could have a phone. I laughed but he was being serious. I told him no time soon.

wouldn't get much of either one from me. He said he wants it to listen to music. I told him they make other things he can listen to music on.
