Bad day for our little Harriet. She had a little stroke last night and is pretty tired today. Time and love will be the best medicine for now. Here's a picture of her resting happily a couple of weeks ago.

We are just wondering how badger will be with the new puppy in early August.

He's not really much concerned with other dogs, but he is sociable with the neighbor dogs.

In thinking badger will finally get his rough and tumble buddy he's been wanting.

When we got badger, Farley the lab was about 12. Farley passed just over a year ago at 16 yrs 7 months, and Belly is 14 this August. She's never had any interest in playing with him. Badger was always a bit too much crazy for him. Now, belly just is happy lounging around.

Well, she got worse yesterday PM and this AM:(. We had to euthanize her this morning. She had a great run. For the time she spent with us, she gave us unconditional love (and a little pizz and vinegar, too:)). Thanks for all your support in this trying time.

This is our neighbor's dog. We call her yella dog, but I think her name is sam. Every night she sits over there and begs for treats and we give her something a few times a week. Their other dog is a Husky. You can be sure that if she's sitting there, he's hiding in the shadows. When we don't feed her for a few days, she sits over there with her back to us.

Her patience paid off last night.

She's a food fiend and doesn't care how she eats. He likes to be hand fed or straight from the bowl.

Labs are funny that way. Most eat anything and are food motivated. That husky sticking around it's land is pretty amazing. All of them ever ever known are runners.

They have about 4 acres to roam inside of an invisible fence. When he does get free, he comes over here to visit. He's not as much of a wanderer as most huskies.
