I hear ya man. Very important. I am taking a vacation for two weeks this summer. Not a working vacation either! LOFL Leaving! Getting out of Dodge! Have someone watching dogs and house and mail and ........

I also make sure that every day I take some time to sit and relax with the family. Even if we just watch a little TV together, play a couple games of cards. Chess with the kids. Whatever. We eat dinner together every night, breakfast together everyday. Do something on the weekend together. Very important stuff.

Yep. Everyone that works 40± hours a week nerds at least a week away at a time at some point. 3 or 4 day weekends help, but my brain needs a week off.

I don't know about anyone else, but this time of year I tend to get up early and do quiet stuff around the house. 5 am is fine for getting a jump on the day. 5 am in the winter is not so nice.

I spent part of the day making this small side table from salvaged wood. I did cut and beat a lot of metal yesterday with some welding for another project.

Fog in the morning is usually a July/August/September occurrence Burns off around 11:00 AM and rolls back in about 3:00 PM. With the westerly in the afternoon our summers are quite chilly. This last two weeks have been awesome and today is unreal. No fog to start with and even with the westerly this afternoon, it was warm.

Fog is rolling in now but it is still quite warm out. Watched the Disney Wonder cruise ship run just ahead of the fog down the straits.

Just get a bag of aluminum oxide and sprinkle over a wet coat of paint let set and then top roll it, if you mix it in a tray it tends to be really heavy/thick at the end

Today's activity. We had a blast. First time doing down mountain riding. A few scrapes but no bleeding cuts or broken bones and only one trashed rear derailleur. Fortunately I was able to set it in on one speed and my son could continue riding for the day.

All hell is about to break loose here. Tornado warnings just west of here. Hope it doesn't get too interesting.

That's funny, my parents did a spur of the moment trip to South Dakota and are now in Deadwood.

I've never been to Windham. I like Platekill better than Hunter, has that small place charm.
