Here's a few of the one I killed this year, the trail camera is exactly why I killed this buck. I used three different cameras that I moved around the farm to figure where he was going and where he came from. Never got a picture of him coming to the field but eliminated enough access points to narrow it down to where he should be coming from. Worked like a charm and killed him on the first night out.
Had a 100 dollar cam out , edge of my property... Think the guy I booted out of here from hunting stole it this fall... Can't prove it but his three wheeler big tire track was right in the next freshly plowed field near my deer cam the day it was taken... I figured he was sneaking around here , saw the deer cam and knew I'd see him on the deer cam... Didn't see him take it, but..... So now I wonder about putting out more deer cams and which ones to buy... I can only imagine losing a 200 dollar deer cam..
I bought four of the Primos camp on sale for $30 each, they work pretty good. And I put those where I've had issues with people stealing cameras

Well the camera was kind of dissapointing this time around the weather was abysmal for the 4 day period I had it up but I expected more pics than the 20 it had on it. I have been seeing the large 8 on the property but he obviously isn't coming by this camera. I need to throw out some corn or something to attract them a bit. had a couple pictures of a small 4 that isn't a shooter, got a few of the fox and a bunch more of the coons. Also had a doe or two come through late at night.
Yeah when I went up at 2:30 today to dump some more corn he was standing up their when I cam over the hill on the tractor. I should have some decent camera shots of him when I pull the cards next time. I know he isn't the biggest buck but I have watched him grow for the last two years and He has gotten quite a bit better each year. I was getting upset thinking about him getting shot during gun season and I'm hoping to eventually take him with a bow. I could have shot him 2 different times last year but let him walk and when I saw him again this fall I was happy I did. My dad was never much of a hunter so I used to just take the first buck I saw. Now that I have a bit more sense I let them go until they are worth taking.
Cert- You using shelled corn? Something that I have learned over the years is that shelled corn is not as beneficial as when it is on the cob. The smaller critters have more difficulty taking away cobs, as do the turkeys. Also, the shelled corn can kill younger deer. They can gorge themselves to the point that the corn becomes bound and blocks the intestines. Usually only happens with smaller deer. Leave it on the cob and make them work for it. Is that buck carrying a full antler set for the third time?
The top left and bottom left buck are two different bucks. I only get a pic every once in awhile of the guy on the top left. Not sure where he hangs out but I wish he would frequent this area more as he is the one I have been after. Had him at 35 yards last year but couldn't get a shot. I was trying to let the guy on the bottom go another year while hunting the other one. Sucks I haven't got a buck this year but I have been trying to be a bit more picky and let them go a bit. I really want to shoot a big one one of these years.
I can't believe the size of some of the bucks you guys have around you. Michigan has far to many old timers that refuse to let deer grow. A lot of hunting pressure and people shooting young bucks. Don't get me wrong we have some big bucks in select counties around here but not a large number of big bucks. Around here a buck in the 130-140 range is a "monster", bucks in the 160+ range are bucks we go to Iowa or Kansas for. Swags how big is the property you're hunting? Did you age the old man you shot this year? He's a monster!
