My first solo tree

    The photo is of my first solo tree; I did that tree by myself without guidance. It is not my first tree but the first time I did it all on my own. To be honest, it was leaning out so there was no guess as to how it would fall. The second one show my chaps; I only took them off to take the photo; when the saw is running I have my chaps on as I like my legs the way they are now. I also cut some dead locust to use for fence posts, you can see one in the second photo.

    You've got the felling part going on, the pics are being posted, and safety seems to be on your mind, too! I'd say all in all its working out for you:thumbs::D
    As Deacon said above, keep the pics coming, and I say say keep your legs attached! You need them to keep the process going! Great work, young lady!

    Say, how deep is that notch on the bottom pic?.... Looks to be a full 2/3 of the way, before the hinge wood... Just curious:binoculars:

    I don't know. Some of those large trees were felled with the poulan and my friend dropped them; too scary for me at this time. I could see about a better photo of some of them; the stumps are still there.
