    June 1st is the latest I have ever had a fire in the stove....now sure I could let the boiler run, but that wouldn't be near as fun and the stove needs recleaned out anyway. 45 tonight and we have a cool rain coming down.

    It's the coldest start to June here in Milwaukee area in 30 years.

    I don't blame you for starting a fire.

    My ng furnace kicked in the other day.

    I would've started a fire or 3 the last number of days, but I have the chimney spotlessly clean for my insert to get installed this year.

    Just put a few splits of ash and red oak in for the night and have the blower on about as low is it will go.

    Well you have some good dry firewood ready to burn.
    & with the rain, you'll feel better keeping the house warm with it, than letting the boiler run. :yes:

    Most of us are the same, we got the wood to burn it :D

    I almost added some wood before hitting the sack last night. Glad I didn't as it was a bit toasty all night in here. No frost here but a friend about 60 miles from us said they got a touch of frost. I see some freezing temperatures further north. Like mid 20's! Cold for June.

    Was in a bass fishing tourney this past Sunday on a local lake. I put on some long-handles and wore my rain suit because it was 41*F with a stiff NE wind. Got up to 60*F after noontime though. Didn't place in the tourney.

    Global Warming......................My Dupa!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

    It's climate change, and that why we are getting such crazy weather swings.

    I was outside all weekend for the superbike races. It was chilly, even on Sunday due to the breeze.
